NEDA FAZLI : Saberi's specialty is in the field of modern theater of Europe and she brought many foreign plays to the stage, yet, she has also directed an Iranian play every year since 22 years ago thanks to her familiarity with mysticism, Persian Literature and Iranian culture. During the time, she directed only two plays by foreigners; one written by Anton Chekhov – Uncle Vania- and the other “Antigone” which was a combination of the script originally written by Sofocles  and "The Event of Karbala" and The Trials of Hadrat Zeinab. The others have all taken shape according to ancient and contemporary Persian texts from Haft Shahr Eshq Attar (Attar's Seven Cities of Love). In the future, she is planning to work on two plays: Leili and Majnun and Baba Neshat.

Saberi is amongst those artists who have - especially in theater- not left art for a second in her life. Saberi went to Paris at a young age and got an education in theater there. Upon her return to Iran, she brought many of Chekhov, Pirandello, Jean-Paul Sartre and Sofocles texts to the stage which, in the opinion of directors of the time, were very successful performances. Yet, Saberi in a sudden change of pace, took a new approach in theater and, for years, she has been rendering the lives of Iranian poets and writers in a musical style. Her last rendering "Leili and Majnun" is also a repetition of experiences in this area. In the last few years, she has brought "Shams Parande",   Rend Khalvat Neshin,  Antigone,  Man az Koja, Esq az Koja, on the stage. Today, she is showing dependence to video projection and image more than ever before in the rendition of Haft Khan Rostam. We had a conversation with her on the occasion of her last play on the stage “Haft Khan Rostam”:
